Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace
Located in Srirangapatna and also known as Dariya Daulat Bagh, this palace served as the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. Built between 1778–1784, the palace is constructed using wood, stone, mortar and plaster. The interiors feature beautiful floral paintings and historical battle scenes. A large garden surrounds the palace and Tipu Sultan’s burial grounds are located nearby.
Payana Car Museum

Chamundi Hills
Chamundi Hill rises 3,489 feet above sea level and is located about 13 km from Mysore city. The Chamundeshwari Temple at the summit is dedicated to the goddess Chamundeshwari, the royal family deity of Mysore. King Krishnaraja Wodeyar III constructed the temple’s impressive gopura in 1827 and later introduced festivals and processions in honor of the goddess.

The Mysore Sand Sculpture Museum is the first sand sculpture museum in India. Opened in 2014, the museum displays over 150 sculptures created by renowned sand artist MN Gowri. The sculptures showcase themes such as culture, wildlife, mythology and Mysore’s rich heritage.

Mysore Palace
The Mysore Palace, also called Amba Vilas Palace, is one of the most iconic landmarks of Karnataka.
